Curriculum Vitae

I’ve had a varied career starting with interest in and the confluence of music and the arts. This led me to the basement years of grunge before it was grunge. I wore many hats: artist, band manager, musician, record executive and student. I then relocated to San Francisco to focus on my art career with interest in sculptures and painting.

I took time out to raise a family. And then found my roots and returned. I am focused on creating a variety of themed work that sources material from my background and psyche.

I find inspiration from a variety of sources. My work is often times inspired by historical mosaic and drawn landscapes from the 400CE to 1400CE. These pieces represent times and places that I can never experience, yet painting them in my language draws me closer. My work is woven from landscape and history. The different views I see are in historical representations of nature. These are through my lenses/interpretations. The landscapes are symbolic to me. They stand for times and places that are out of reach, yet feel near. Painting them brings me closer.

My studio is located in Sausalito, California at the Liberty Ship complex.
